Rangers Week 2 Preview 10/24/22

The Rangers enter the week coming off of back to back home losses against bottom tier NHL
teams (You can make an argument on the injury riddled Blue Jackets but I will not be hearing
anything about the fucking Sharks, piss off). But lemme tell you what the Rangers have a tough
week ahead of them. The boys in blue have 4 games over the next 7 days, and it’s not gonna be
easy.

The Rangers open this week at home against the defending Stanley Cup champions on Tuesday.
The Avalanche have been able to pick off some Rangers players over the off season and just last
week. Starting with former backup goaltender Alexandar Georgiev, who has been pretty hot this
year, posting a 3-1-0 record as a starter for the Avalanche. Then just last week the Rangers
placed forward Dryden Hunt on waivers and believe it or not the Avs snatched him up. I am
extremely nervous for this game because they are the defending champs & the Rangers have
been playing like dog shit. But if the Rangers are able to snatch up a win it hopefully will give
the Rangers a huge boost for this tough week.

Wednesday the Rangers have a short drive to play on the road against the Islanders and I fucking
hate the Islanders. The Islanders have been struggling this year, with a current record of 2-4. But
that means nothing when it comes to a cross town rivalry. This should be a very physical match
up considering the bad blood between these two teams. No excuses though, the Rangers need
points right now and should have no trouble taking down this rebuilding team.
The Rangers have 2 nights off then travel to Dallas to face off against the talented young core
that the Stars have been building. The Stars are currently 4-0-1 on the season meaning they are
on fire. The sensational third year star Jason Robertson has been lighting it up, who like Panarin
is leading his team in both points and assists. The Rangers defense will have to keep Robertson
in check if they are going to want to leave the lone star state with a win.

The Rangers finish the week on Sunday in Arizona, playing against the Coyotes. Now looking at
the schedule this should be an easy win for the Rangers. The Coyotes like last season are
struggling, with a 1-4-0 record going into this week. If the Rangers aren’t able to squeeze out a
couple wins this week this game should be the get right game. If the Rangers have been able to
get back in the win column this should be a hand out of a win. But with how the Rangers have

been playing who the fuck knows what’s going to happen. But I hope we get back on track with this tough week.
