As the puck drops on Thursday night at Amalie Arena in Tampa Bay, Pittsburgh center Evgeni Malkin will be looking to keep his three game goal streak alive while the red hot Atlantic division leaders will attempt to add to their five game win streak. As the playoff push continues, the Penguins find themselves in second place of the metropolitan division, five points back from the seemingly unstoppable Carolina Hurricanes.

            With the Eastern Conference being so close, every point counts. This matchup will be the third and final time these two teams meet until a possible meeting later on in the Stanley Cup playoffs. With the series tied at 1-1 both teams will be on the hunt to secure the two points up for grabs.

            Tonight’s expected starting goaltenders are both 2022 NHL All Stars, Tristan Jarry and Andrei Vasilevskiy. As the current top goalies in the league some great hockey will be on display on both sides of the puck.
