Bucks vs. Bulls recap

By: Anthony Krenek

Last night the Milwaukee Bucks and Chicago Bulls squared off in an inner division game. Milwaukee entered the game as five point favorites. Coming into this matchup, the Chicago Bulls were one game up on the Milwaukee Bucks for third place in the eastern conference. This was a very tight game all the way through, showing us that the Central division is going to be a close finish for first place. The Bucks managed to cover the spread by defeating the Chicago Bulls 118-112. The leading scorers for the Bulls were Zach Lavine with 30 points, eight rebounds, and six assists and Demar DeRozen with 29 points, five assists, and three rebounds. The leading scorer for the Bucks, was no other than Giannis, with 34 points, 16 rebounds and five assists. The Bucks also had Jrue Holiday with a great performance shooting 50% from the field, and adding eight rebounds and five assists. Milwaukee won the rebounding battle by grabbing 61 rebounds to Chicago’s 45 rebounds. Milwaukee shot 33 free throws compared to Chicago’s 11. I believe that this was the difference in the game. Milwaukee was able to draw more fouls, and ultimately it was a main reason why they won the game. It is going to be interesting to see who is going to win the Central Division because these are both great basketball teams, who are playing through injuries, and winning basketball games consistently. The Bulls and Bucks will square off two more times this season. The next time these two teams play, they will be in Milwaukee on March 22nd. Their last matchup of the season will be on April 4th in Chicago. Milwaukee leads the season series 2-0 over the Bulls. My prediction for these last two games is that the Bulls will steal one, and the Bucks will win the other. All in all, this was a great Friday night matchup that came down to the end.
