NBA Prop Bets 03/8/2022

Kyrie Irving over 23.5 points (-110 MGM)

Kyrie is still being lined too low in the points prop market and this is an excellent matchup to take advantage of that! Kyrie averages 24.7 PPG on the season and has gone over this line in 4 of his last 5 games. All this is occurring while his shooting efficiency metrics are uncharacteristically low – he’s only shooting 46% from the field and 36% from 3, both of which would be his lowest season totals in 6 years. For comparison, he shot over 50% from the field last and over 40% from 3 just last season. This indicates to us that there is likely some positive shooting regression coming for Kyrie, which pairs nicely with his shot volume, averaging almost 23 FGA’s per game over his last 5. The game script here also projects to be a dream matchup for scoring, 240 is one of the highest totals in the NBA this year and both teams are top 12 in the league in pace and bottom 10 in points allowed. Last but not least, because Kyrie can only play in road games, HC Steve Nash has relied on Kyrie to play big minutes, he ranks 7th in the NBA with 36.4 MPG. Take Irving over 23.5 points and let’s cash in for the 8th straight day!
