A beautiful cafe, beautiful food & beautiful people – That’s what you’ll get at @thistlefarms. Along with amazing food, teas, coffee & pastries this mission is bigger than any photo I could post on my page.
For 25 years, Thistle Farms has been a nonprofit social enterprise dedicated to helping women survivors recover and heal from prostitution, trafficking, and addiction. They provide a safe place to live, a meaningful job, and a lifelong sisterhood of support. Each tea cup that hangs on the the chandelier is a gift from a survivor or supporter from around the world, including volunteers, celebrities, a holocaust survivor, and Thistle Farms program graduates.
I adore this fact – Thistles grow on the streets and alleys where the women of Thistle Farms have walked. Considered weeds by many, thistles have a deep root that can shoot through concrete and survive drought.
If you haven’t been to @thistlefarms, you really should stop by. I really feels like home to me 💜
